Sandwichbike, from Dutch designer Basten Leijh, is a study in flat design as an engineering method. The bike evokes the simplicity of flat design, and is meant for home assembly, which also means you can take it apart when you don't need it or need to store it. The wooden frame replaces the classic welded structure, substituting two weathercoated frames of layered plywood as light and durable "sandwich" pieces.
