Originally built in 1946, the Bregenz Festival "Opera on the Lake" in Austria boasts some of the most intricate and gorgeously constructed outdoor stages ever built. The stage seats 6,800 people, and was featured in the 2007 James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, where 007 meets his adversary during a performance of Tosca. Each new set is carefully planned and constructed to be weatherproof and as lightweight as possible, to allow for quick changes of scenery.
