Eighteen year-old Justin Beckerman, a junior in high school (!) has built himself a one-man submarine so he can frolick beneath the waters of Lake Hopatcong. Why? Because he loves "water and making things." Beckerman uses the submarine to explore the water, going 30 feet deep. A master of recycling, Justin built his contraption with valves and regulators from an old soda machine, a CB radio to communicate, and 1,400 watts of light, plus a strobe light to combat the pitch black of the water.
