Polish concert pianist Slawomir Zubrzycki has spent three years and an estimated 5,000 hours of work, along with roughly 10,000 dollars, to bring to life his version of the viola organista. Originally conceptualized by Da Vinci himself in the 15th century, the instrument has been designed with varying degrees of success by many other musicians. Zubrzycki has built a full functional version of the instrument, and he recently debuted it in public at the 5th International Royal Krakow Piano Festival, which you can watch below!
