Amsterdam desugners Jair Straschnow and Gitte Nygaard designed 'Off-Ground,' a playground made from recycled materials, such as rejected fire hoses. Off-Ground is featured at the DAC, Danish Architecture Center this summer, as a means of showcasing different ways to use public space, and of course, inventive ways to upcycle useful materials. All main materials are locally sourced, and the structures themselves are loosely designed to allow for interpretive use.
