The Bird Minute Repeater, manufactured by Jaquet Droz, Switzerland, pays homage to the company's founder, Pierre Jaquet Droz, and to the automata he crafted in the eighteenth century. The watch consists of 508 parts and is manually wound. The dial features an avian automaton: a male Blue Tit (a bird native to the Swiss Jura region) spreads his wings as his mate feeds her chicks—one of which emerges from a cracked egg. Surrounding the sub-dial is a meticulously rendered image of the Saut du Doubs waterfall in the Swiss Canton of Neuchâtel.
