It doesn't exist quite yet but the notion is strong - a Dyson-powered invisible umbrella that uses a small motor to create a forcefield of protection which blocks raindrops from entering your sphere. French design student Quentin's Debaene developed his idea based on the concept of removing all fabric from the umbrella we're used to. The Airblow 2050 premiered at tech convention CES  but it will be a while before the Dyson motor in question becomes cheap enough to manufacture in a large scale production for the cold, wet masses.
